Topic
The textile industry harms the environment due to linear, resource-heavy production. Circular Logistics (CL), key to the Circular Economy (CE), can reduce this impact, but road transport in reverse logistics limits benefits. This study, part of the NODES project, explores how textile firms can improve logistics for sustainable CL operations, identifying success factors and assessing economic and environmental gains. Based on best practices and empirical data, it highlights barriers like complexity, regulations, and costs, and proposes strategies for Mascioni S.p.A. to enhance circular logistics. The research offers practical recommendations for textile companies to adopt circular models, emphasizing collaboration and resource-sharing to build a resilient circular textile ecosystem.
